Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA), a newly established nonprofit dedicated to enriching the greater Southbury area’s artistic and cultural landscape.

We got our start as a subcommittee of the Town of Southbury's Economic Development Commission. In 2025, SACA began the transition into an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit.*

* Our application for official nonprofit status has been submitted. We anticipate official status by June 1, 2025.
Mission Statement
To promote, inspire, encourage, and support arts and culture within our community.

What began as a dream shared by Kelly Keenan and Kim McNeill—to uplift and celebrate the arts in Southbury—has grown into a full-fledged community movement.
Fueled by their vision and passion, the Southbury Economic Development Commission established the Arts & Culture Subcommittee in 2022, with the goal of showcasing Southbury as a vibrant, creative destination to live in and visit.
For two years, the subcommittee worked to spotlight Southbury’s cultural richness—supporting local artists, organizing events, and laying the foundation for a more connected and inspired community. Through collaborative partnerships, inclusive programming, and public engagement, the initiative proved that arts and culture are vital to Southbury’s identity and growth.

Now, with the blessing of the Town of Southbury, we’ve taken the next step: launching the Southbury Arts & Culture Alliance (SACA) as an independent nonprofit. This new chapter empowers us to expand our mission, strengthen community ties, and bring even more opportunities for creativity and expression to our region.

We believe the arts are for everyone—and we invite you to join us in building a culturally vibrant Southbury.
