Southbury Arts and Culture Alliance to Honor Local Creatives at 2025 Artist of the Year Awards Ceremony

Southbury, CT — The Southbury Arts and Culture Alliance (SACA) is proud to present its 2025 Artist of the Year Awards Ceremony, an annual celebration of the outstanding creative talent enriching the Southbury community. The event will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Southbury Public Library, located at 100 Poverty Road.

This special evening will honor three exceptional contributors to the local arts scene:

• Artist of the Year

• People’s Choice Award - voted by the community

• David K. Merrill Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award - for enduring contributions to the cultural fabric of the region

“We’re thrilled to recognize and celebrate Southbury’s wonderful community of artists,” said Kelly Keenan, President of SACA. “These awards help shine a spotlight on these local artists who uplift, inspire, connect, and enrich our lives through their creative work.”

Guests can expect heartfelt presentations, warm community spirit, and friendly camaraderie as we gather to support and honor this year’s award nominees and recipients. The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend and show their support for the nominees and awardees, but advance registration is required due to limited space.
